Our raw cacao nibs are certified organic, kosher, Non-GMO Project verified, fermented and naturally gluten-free. They are naturally fermented and never heated.
Our Criollo variety cacao nibs are perfectly versatile and nutrient dense bites created from peeled and crumbled cacao beans. They maintain the same quality and integrity of the whole bean, in that they are truly raw and processed at low temperatures - all while being easy and fun to eat. Cacao nibs make a great substitute for chocolate chips in any recipe and taste great sprinkled on just about anything.
As a quality focused company, we test samples from all of our cacao lots at an accredited laboratory using plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This method accurately tests for the levels of naturally occurring heavy metals present in cacao that includes lead and cadmium.
*Notice: Although our cacao nibs are kept at the proper temperature here in our warehouse, sometimes during the warmer months of the year they can melt during transit to your doorstep. Unfortunately, this is not something we can control, and while this doesn't affect the flavor or usability of the product, we understand why you may want a replacement or refund.
