THE FARMERS
BEHIND THE
SUPERFOODS

Our West African cashew suppliers focus on creating economic opportunities for women.

FOR TODAY AND FOR TOMORROW

We work with small-scale, organic, family-owned farms in 37 countries on 5 different continents. Choosing organic and Fairtrade-certified superfoods not only benefits the individual farmer, but their entire community. Through sustainable agriculture and by paying farmers fair prices for their crops, farmers can better help protect and ensure the success of future generations.

Sourcing from family-owned farms helps ensure the success of future generations.

SAFER FOR ALL OF US

Organic farming affects the overall environment positively and means that farmers and their families don’t have to live and work in an environment full of harmful pesticides, synthetic chemicals and ecological destruction. And it means that you can keep these chemicals out of your life, too.

FAIR IS FAIR

All of our superfood coffees (and cacao products by the end of 2022) are Fairtrade-certified through Fairtrade America which supports and empowers farmers, workers, their families and communities. To be Fairtrade-certified, one must provide safe working conditions and stable livelihoods, all while helping to protect the environment.

Our Peruvian maca suppliers focus on income stability and empowering the local community.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Our fair trade and direct trade models offer opportunities to everyone connected with our supply chains. By engaging directly with farmers’ cooperatives and their partner manufacturers, we are able to offer efficient distribution and access to the U.S. organic consumer, while providing new and rewarding economic opportunities to farmers and indigenous communities. The higher prices they receive for organic superfoods, over normal commodity crops, significantly increases the income opportunities for these agricultural communities.

THERE’S ALWAYS MORE WE CAN DO. LET’S DO IT TOGETHER.
