CASSAVA TORTILLAS

Our premium organic Cassava Flour truly makes an amazing grain-free replacement for wheat flour. Foods made with cassava do not have that familiar dry or "alternative flour" taste or texture that often comes with gluten-free flours. We also test each lot for gluten. Try these simple, super versatile tortillas - which can be made as thick or thin as you'd like.

CASSAVA TORTILLAS

2 cups Cassava Flour
1/2 cup purified water
1/2 cup unsweetened plant-based mylk (coconut, almond, cashew, etc)
1/4 cup Coconut Oil, melted
1 teaspoon Pink Himalayan Salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Black pepper to taste
Coconut Oil for Cooking

Wax, Parchment or Plastic Wrap for Tortilla Press

Combine dry ingredients until well combined. Add liquid and roll into a ball. If the dough is sticking sprinkle in a bit more flour.

Divide the dough into equal parts and shape into balls. Using parchment, wax paper, or plastic wrap, line both sides of the tortilla press. Press firmly.

Heat pan on the stove at medium heat, adding just enough coconut oil to coat the pan. Cook tortillas for approximately 2 minutes on each side.

They are great crisp or soft.

Enjoy!
